The contemporary design of this private garden harmonises with the planned architecture.The contemporary design of this private garden harmonises with the planned architecture. The client’s main wish was to achieve a sense of prestige and coherence, realised through geometric shaping — straight, clean lines. This was achieved by the linear arrangement of olive trees, the garden’s main feature, alongside shrubs and perennials that follow the circulation paths and the bocce court. The linearity is softened, and a greater sense of elegance achieved, through informal planting of Mediterranean species in gravel. Plant selection emphasised Mediterranean varieties, functionality, and ease of maintenance.
