MONUMENT SITE OKUČANI

The memorial of a military-police campaign Bljesak.
The old linden is a mute witness of the 1995 event. Under its treetop, the Croatian liberation forces merged from three sides and successfully completed the action of liberation. With our solution, we wanted to mark the gathering place. Steps from different directions approach linden. Each step marks the Croatian fighter, his hard work and suffer on the way to the goal, his fears, his heroism and his hope. Ground steps are mirror-like and each visitor can be reflected in them, perhaps recalling their own participation, or thanking the defenders on the freedom.
